Synopsis

An African-American social worker in fictional Atlanta, married to a powerful civil rights lawyer, gets pulled into a conspiracy when a fleeing scientist slips him evidence of illegal human experimentation. A Musk/Luthor-type villain, working with a corrupt senator, uses aggressive deportation laws as cover to disappear people into labs. When the protagonist's family is murdered and he's left for dead, he survives via heart transplant β€” the heart of a werewolf. As he transforms, he hunts those responsible, uncovering the full depth of the conspiracy. His confidant (psychiatric nurse/best friend) fights to keep him from becoming pure monster.

Themes

  • Vengeance vs humanity
  • Inherited rage
  • Immigration & deportation
  • Corporate evil
  • Racism & social imbalance
  • Becoming the monster

Highlights

  • Strong genre hook β€” werewolf + conspiracy thriller
  • Comp line: Underworld Γ— Nobody Γ— John Wick
  • 10 pages written before stalling

Issues to Tackle

  • Plot felt convoluted β€” may need simplification
  • Authenticity concern: Jonathan (white) writing Black protagonist in racial/immigration story
  • Timeliness of immigration themes β€” too current? past prime?
  • May benefit from pivoting to more personal themes (inherited rage, father relationship) inspired by Wolfman (2025)
  • Core werewolf concept is strong β€” might need different framing/entry point

Synopsis

Stella, orphaned at ~8-10, discovers through her mother's journals that she's the daughter of Lucifer. Believing her mother was killed by him, she grows up dark, vengeful, hunting demons with shadow magic and superhuman abilities. When she finally confronts Lucifer (or his representatives), she learns her mother is alive β€” and that Lucifer didn't rape her mother. Her mother intentionally seduced him to produce Stella as a weapon to claim power over Lucifer himself. Now Stella must decide who to believe: the literal Devil, or the mother who engineered her existence. A gangster hunts demons and artifacts, secretly controlled by Stella's mother, who hijacks the body of the Angel of Death as her instrument. Stella must learn that her demonic (angelic) heritage gives her access to both darkness and light.

Themes

  • Identity & origin
  • Manipulation & truth
  • Light within darkness
  • Mother-daughter betrayal
  • Power & corruption
  • Moral ambiguity

Highlights

  • Short proof-of-concept completed (on Story Arc YouTube)
  • Core twist is compelling β€” devil as unlikely protector
  • Angel body as vessel = striking visual/conceptual imagery
  • Feature script started but never finished

Issues to Tackle

  • Significant thematic overlap with Thalex novel β€” lower priority for that reason
  • Plot details partially lost β€” needs reconstruction from notes
  • Gangster subplot + mother's cabal needs tightening
  • Angel of Death possession mechanics need defining

Synopsis

A gothic, horror-loving sister and her genius scientist brother finally repair the machine their mother built before disappearing. They believe it's a time travel device β€” a dome that shifts everything inside to another era. They visit three "periods": a Western shootout, a dinosaur encounter, and an eerily silent dark forest where their mother appears. But she's not their mother β€” an Eldritch entity wearing her "husk." The machine isn't a time device but a dimensional portal. Each destination was a parallel world. When the sister destroys the machine to escape, they return home β€” but the entity has taken the injured brother's body and crossed into their dimension. They've doomed their world searching for their mother.

Themes

  • Horror Γ— sci-fi blend
  • Loss & obsession
  • Unintended consequences
  • Lovecraftian cosmic horror
  • Sibling dynamics

Highlights

  • Award-winning short film script (1-2 wins, multiple placements)
  • Clever genre-blending: buddy-cop siblings represent horror + sci-fi
  • Rule of threes structure with escalating reveals
  • Devastating ending β€” searching for mom dooms everything

Feature Expansion Potential

  • Strong concept easily supports feature length
  • Could expand middle dimensions, deepen sibling backstory
  • Entity possession = sequel/franchise potential
  • Needs: full feature outline, expanded dimension sequences, deeper character arcs
πŸ“ Drive Link β€” TBD

Synopsis

Contained zombie outbreak on a cruise ship. Concept born on honeymoon cruise ~10 years ago, reignited by a recent cruise in January 2026. Jonathan's instinct is to lean into absurdity β€” dark comedy or dramedy rather than playing it straight. "Wild fun" energy.

Themes

  • Contained horror
  • Dark comedy
  • Absurdity
  • Survival

Issues to Tackle

  • No protagonist or POV character yet
  • No theme beyond the setup β€” needs a "why"
  • Needs brainstorming to find the right character + emotional anchor
  • Tone decision: full comedy vs dramedy with heart
πŸ“ Drive Link β€” TBD

Synopsis

Jim (James) is agoraphobic, living in his occult-enthusiast mother's house, pining over his lifelong best friend from afar. When her douchebag boyfriend dies in a freak accident, she comes to Jim for comfort. Drunk and grieving, they attempt a sΓ©ance from his mother's spell books β€” accidentally summoning a local Grim Reaper and resurrecting the boyfriend. The spell binds the reaper to Jim, splits the reaper's power with the undead boyfriend, and makes Jim the only person who can activate death in their territory. Nobody in town can die. Horrific accidents go uncomfortably undying. The boyfriend unravels psychologically and spreads undeath. Jim must confront his agoraphobia, step outside, fulfill reaper duties, and convince his best friend they need to put down her zombie ex β€” all while learning he doesn't need to "get the girl" to find his place in the world.

Themes

  • Overcoming fear / agoraphobia
  • Grief & letting go
  • Unrequited love (subverted)
  • Dark comedy
  • Finding your place in the world
  • Death as duty

Highlights

  • Reapers as "mailmen with territories" β€” original, funny worldbuilding
  • Horror played for laughs β€” people losing limbs but not dying
  • Subverts rom-com trope: Jim does NOT get the girl, and that's the point
  • Strong character arc: agoraphobia β†’ reaper β†’ finding his own path

Issues to Tackle

  • Ending needs locking β€” what's Jim's specific dream/goal he finally pursues?
  • Age setting: high school vs college (college preferred for adult characters)
  • Mother's role: still alive and living with him, or just her house/legacy?
  • Reaper's personality and dynamic with Jim needs developing
  • How does the undeath spreading actually work mechanically?

Themes

  • Technology as curse
  • Compulsion
  • Descent into madness

Issues to Tackle

  • No ending or resolution conceived
  • Needs: What are the whispers? Where does it go?
  • Quick-to-produce concept β€” good candidate for a weekend shoot
